Resolutions.

New Years resolutions are so cliche.  Last year was the first year in quite a few that I even made any.  I made two last year, to get in shape and to be more direct with people about my opinions, feelings, wishes, etc..  For someone who does not want to make New Years resolutions because they are cliche my first one was the most cliche one of all.  The reason for picking that was because I had gained a lot of weight during the previous year and was having chest pains.  I felt it important for my health to get in better shape.  The second resolution I made was because I have a big problem telling people what I want or even talking to people in general.  Well I was quite successful for the most part until the beginning of this last semester when I put on all the weight I had lost.  I managed to be more forward with people (but still lost a girl I was dating because of my inability to talk about anything personal).  So this year I have decided to make resolutions again.  But rather than make different ones I have decided to continue with the same resolutions as last year.  I realized that somethings just take longer than a year, I know I can succeed because I did get in shape (just relapsed)  and I have made progress in my conversational skills I am just not all the way yet.  The new year has given me an excuse to refocus and think about the reasons that I failed before so hopefully I will do better this next year.

December is great.

I like December.  It is so nice to have a break from school, get some snowboarding in, eat good food.  Speaking of the whole snowboarding thing, today I went riding at Snowbird.  It was the second time I have been riding since our family friend died in a freak avalanche in bounds at the resort.  I will save that story until I have some more time to think about it.  Back to today...  Oh man I felt lucky to be able to move my limbs today.  After jumping over a natural roller I landed a little forward and sunk my nose into the snow.  The next part seemed to all come in slow motion.  I fell on to my face and bounced off it doing a somersault.  I heard my spine crack all the way up, I thought for sure I was done for.  The body is quite resilient and can take a lot of punishment I know but still it is important to be able to realize when you are lucky and not take it for granted.  Hopefully I will be going up again tomorrow, if I can move that is...

First day of the season.

Today was my first day up for the season.  It was a crappy day of snowboarding but it was still nice to get out.  I ride at Snowbird in Utah.  The snow (ice) was not great and there was only one lift open.  It doesn't matter though, I was just happy to finally get out.  We only took 5 runs because of the conditions and because the last thing I wanted to do was catch an edge on the ice and be injured the first day of the season.  Hopefully we will have another great season this year.  Unfortunately my best friend Cassi who has a sixth sense about what a season is going to be like is just not feeling it.  Well maybe she will be wrong this year.  I was finally able to scratch that itch I have had since July...

Its November

Well its November and I have not posted yet so this will be truly random.  You see, rather than study like I should be doing right now because I have two tests coming up this week I would rather be posting about nothing.  It probably would not be so bad had I not been procrastinating for the last 2 weeks.  I have been playing the new video games that I bought.  Fable II and Fallout 3.  They are both great.  Tons of nerd hating out there on the Fable II and while their complaints may be valid I just don't get why people cannot just like the games the way they are.  It is still fun and problems like those talked about can be fixed in patches.

Anyway, enough about my lazy nerdiness.  It has finally started to get cold and last weekend into the beginning of this week it snowed nonstop up in the mountains.  Snowbird opened yesterday and I really wanted to go up.  Screw school.  So I decided to put my goals for the month up here so that I can look back and say wow, I am awesome cause I accomplished something.  Or perhaps I will just hate myself because I never accomplish anything.

1. Do NOT fail any tests.
2. Clean my house, especially my office.
3. Get new motherboard for desktop.
4. Not miss any shifts at work.
5. Go to the gym or some other form of exercise 3 times per week.
6. Not play video games when I have more important things to do.

Well good luck me.

W.

Last night I went and saw W. with a bunch of friends.  What a waste of time that was.  Basically I felt like all it did was try and make you feel sorry for Bush by showing you how retarded he is.  Which is what I expected except I thought it would be more satirical than it turned out being.  Because anyone who has not been living in isolation from the entire world for the past 8 years already knows that bush is rediculously dumb, we don't need a movie to tell us that.  I figured it would at least poke fun at him but no.  Really it seemed to say, "its not my fault I fucked up this country its my evil advisors, I am to stupid to have stoped it."  I mean really, it would not have been hard at all to at least make the audiance laugh seeing as his entire presidency has been one big JOKE.  Bottom line I wasted my time I hope not many other people do.

I love the winter.

Yes it's true, I am a big fan of winter. I love the snow and cold. The way I see it is that no matter how cold it gets you can always put on another layer of clothing when it gets cold. However the same is not true for when it gets hot. There comes a point where taking another layer of clothing off in the summer either does not do the trick or you will get arrested. Neither one of those options is good at all.

One of the only reasons that I can tolerate living in Utah is the winter. I love snowboarding. Last year when I didn't buy a seasons pass the season was awesome. As a result I ended up spending about twice as much as I would have had I just bought one to begin with. Anyway I bought one this year so hopefully it is a good season, this is why I am so excited for snow.

So Tired of School

How much longer could this possibly last?  Well it sure seems like forever.  Starting at the beginning of this semester I passed the half way point.  People keep telling me, "it's all down hill from here."  The next time someone tells me that they better hope they can run faster than me because I am going to kill them.  Pharmacy School is like stepping into some sort of weird time warp thingermajig.  Somebody well say, "remember 1.5 years ago when we were in...."  All I can think is, this person is crazy that happened at least 10 years ago.  And yet the weeks go by so fast.  Its like slow motion and fast motion at the same time!!  Oh man... I have no idea whats going on....Well anyway so as to not have anymore confusion here is my new graduation count down clock:  (when I find one I like)

Green Street Hooligans

Tonight I wathced "Green Street" which was a great movie.  Who would have thought the little hobit Frodo could kick some serious hooligan ass.  Even though usually I am against violence for the most part this movie kind of makes it look awesome.  It is to bad that we can not be that we cannot get that passionate about any sport in the United States.  I love soccer and it would be great if we had that kind of team fanaticism here.  But if we could get behind ANY sport like it seems Europeans get behind soccer or football rather, then I would get on board for sure.  So anyway if you can get past all the violence you should really see this movie, but do be warned it is violent.

My NEW blog.

This is my new blog. My old one was not updated often and mostly consisted of rants about things that annoy me. This one will probably not be much different but perhaps it will offend less people. Not that offending people bothers me in the slightest. Anyway, enjoy. Cheers!
